It's lovely to look at, lousy to shovel and de-ice and this was a very cold day.

We have had three months of unpleasant weather. In eleven years living in Washington, this is the most snow we have ever seen. Here are a few more pictures!

We went to a Ukraine wedding for one of the families in our complex. It was Samantha's friend Irena's sister Olga Shekel. It was all in Ukraine and very interesting. Some of these pictures were taken by Samantha.

We went bowling for Vickie's birthday and then had some barbecue for dinner.

Some people go to the lake for a few days during the summer while on vacation. We feel blessed to go every couple of days and I always take my camera.

These were taken Memorial day weekend on Lake Washington. We bought a new camera for our upcoming voyage to Alaska. It is a Canon SLR digital and you can snap a bunch of pictures fast with it. Of the 276 pictures we took, these are the best.

This is the day we take the "Family Photo". I also tried to take some firworks pictures that are interesting if not too accurate.

We took a few days after the fourth for R&R. These pictures represent our activities.

It was over 100 degrees in Bellevue, a neighboring city, and we quit early and headed to the lake. I took picture of our kid and while doing so a fire broke out in Cozy Cove. This is right next door to where we dock but across the lake from where we were swimming. I got some interesting pictures of this fire. Sam's diving pictures were pretty good too.

We went out on the lake with Margot, Sam, and her friend David. It is still warm for this part of the country and having a boat makes it enjoyable.

This is a few pictures of Vickie, Sam and the lovable, charming, fat, bald headed guy from California, me. This was last Saturday and it was the start of a three day rain storm. In Washington? No way!

We had dinner with Tim and Tammie at this funky little dive near Pike's Market. The food was terrific, so was the company. The ambiance wasn't so great. It was the first restaurant I have ever gone to where they had a combination lock on their restroom doors. LOL!

I took several pictures of flowers and a spider while at my sister-in-law's home.

This is an anual event that is part of Seattle's "Sea Fair". We went last year when our boat was only a week or two old. This year I was armed with a great camera and took lots of pictures. These were taken over a three day period. Some of them came out great. By the third day I knew where the jets would fly over us and that is where we parked.

We spend a lot of time on Lake Washington and Union Lake enjoying the sights, playing and just relaxing. These pictures represent some of those times during the 2007 summer.

We like to camp out on the lake occasionally and with Marianne around to watch after Samantha, it makes it even easier. Marianne likes to call it bonding with Sam night. At any rate we are so grateful for the opportunity to get away for a while. I took a few pictures of a recent camp out.

I took these pictures of the barbecue for the kids that are residents of our complex who helped cleanup before an important HUD inspection. This was not only important for them but us too.

We have lived here eleven years and have watched several sets of children grow up. My perspective of what a government subsidized project is all about has evolved considerably. These little rascals have been the most fun and we have truly enjoyed their young lives with us.

We stayed in a suite at the Woodmark Hotel on Lake Washington the night before my surprise 60th birthday party. It was a great day with a cruise in a classic Chris Craft boat seeing many of the sights we saw but did not know the names of, locations or owners and a great dinner that evening and lunch the next day. It was wonderful!

Vickie, Marianne, Samantha and Margot gave me a surprise birthday party I will never forget. It was not a complete surprise, but it was very surprising.

Margot wanted to display something special for Christmas at her job and asked me to help make a picture she could circulate at work and around the world. Here are the pictures and the final product.

We had one of the best parties ever. Vickie hired a grench who scared the hell out of Samantha and I think a couple of the other guests. I took movies of that and don't have any stills. I barbecued an eleven pound prime rib roast that came out wonderfull. It was truly a wonderful party for all of us.
