Thanks to everyone, who votes for my pics. The fact, that I don't rush from guestbook to guestbook to drop a prefab thanks doesn't mean I wouldn't appriciate your vote. I really do, but I prefer to thank you here and use the saved time to view your pics or comment them and I would appriciate, if you consider to do the same :)
This was the most fun Fotki contest ever, I had a blast. Creating this image was real fun (don't miss my other ideas in album "fotki,foti,fotki") and viewing all other peoples creative work was really great. There were some incredible cool and creative pics in this contest!
I don't think my contest will win, because most of people didn't even go to page3 and my work is on page5, the viewer for yours is 817 and mine only 396...not even half of yours, so sad...
however, thank you again for your 5 star vote.
~~~~ i agree, that being on the first page is an advantage, but also concider the following facts:
1. the clear winner of this contest isn't on page 1 but on page 4(!) only 14 pics or 3 rows or not even half a page before you.
2. on page 1 are several pics that didnt even get the half of the points/votes/views of the best 3 of this page.
3. in the pets contest i made place 2 with my pic which was displayed as the very first pic on the very first page and i got my butt kicked by Leefly, whos pic was displayed at page 8 (!).
4. the majority of people would rather hang a pic from the walmart on their walls than a rubens, a duerer, a miro or a modigliani ;).
... i think we both (like many others) would have done better, if the word fotki would have been a photographic element of the photo, not only a graphic element, added by photoshop.
but in the end it is the quality of the product/photo/image that counts and not the subjective taste of the voters and you can be dam proud of your image, you have a great concept, a very neat execution and the result is a fun, fantastic and very special image. if i would be in advertisement, i sure would lay my eye on your skills and phantasy. so dont let the outcome of a fotki contest spoil your satisfaction about your great prestation. i LOVE your pic, i think it is one of the best of the contest.
I'm glad you chose the red color font and that you actually did something different with it. It definatly makes it more dramatic and appealing to the eye. Thanks for your vote, and good luck to you.
Good choice going with this one, it grabs you from the thumbnail, it's a great idea, well executed, the colours are great and it's very clear. Well done, you'll do well.
