Am I looking at water pipes or candleabra? These are very informative and interesting. Was it very hot there? Why does there appear to be so little food planting--the soil looks fertile enough?

water pipes; very hot there; very humid; too too dry but they are doing huge build up of tourist resorts on the Gulf and dont forget Dubai Land.
