I have had the same jones since I cut my hair, and right before I put a semi-perm one in, I was all of a sudden in love with my natural dark brown color. The semi-perm didn't even take :o(. Good luck, I'm going to live vicariously through you!!

    quest for color

Mmmm. I colored my hair right after my BC and it really loosened/straigtened my hair in the front. This hair will not stay twist or braided...it's quite aggravating actually, lol. It's strange because the rest of my head didn't even really take the color (which was permanent and semi-permanent) and it's just as coily as it wants to be. There's really no way around the state of your hair changing after you color it--so I guess you have to just determine how much damage you're willing to endure :\

    can you see it?!

Lemon juice is acidic, so it will burn.

    no i'm not bleeding, it's...

How long did you do the lemon bleaching process?

    lemons

I use lemon juice with my henna and my hair is dryer than all get out when I rinse it out. I really do think that the hot oil treatments and deep conditioning is going to counter and adverse reaction and you will be fine...keep a sista posted so I can jump all over this bandwagon if it works.

I have NO suggestion because I am in the EXACT same boat. As a matter of fact, I've been thinking about this all day today. My boyfriend doesn't want me to do it just because he knows how much I love my hair and I will have a fit if it gets damaged and he will have to be the one to deal with the fit.

    next day

I can see especially on the ends. When your hair is dark it's harder to see in the house. I bet it's bright outside.

Is that drying to the hair? The lemons?

How did the lemon experiment go? If none of these work out, you may want to give henna a try. It never lets anyone down! :)

    lemons

It will lighten it over time... you might see it on your ends first because that part tends to be thinner.
