The Volvo truck safety rally in Israel, ran from Tel Aviv to the Negev and the Dead Sea. Drivers went through various driving conditions and filled sport and social tasks. At the end two drivers won first and second places winning prizes.

The Sherling Steel London to Jerusalem car rally heads to it's destination. I joined the rally for the third day in Israel. The day began at the Meridien David Hotel by the Dead Sea, headed to a reception of the mayor in Arad and continued to "Aleh Negev", rehabilitative village for thr needs of mentaly and physically impaired people, a place which the JNF donated for. After, the rally continued to the Armoured Corps Memorial in Latrun for the traditional ceremony in memory of the fallen soldiers and concluded in the King David Hotel in Jerusalem

Ron Brunner launched his VW air cooled micro bus nicknamed "Bulli" after restoration.
The ceremony took place in Herzlia, and from there a convoy of air cooled VW's made its way to the ordinary meetung place in Ramat Gan.

The Classic Vehicle Enthusiast Group of Haifa visited the village part of Yokne'am, learning about olive oil at Yoshra's premises, visiting Avshi's big tractor collection and concluding in a visit to the smith, No'am Engel

An offroad quicky to Wadi Sorek and Wadi Aminadav along the railway to Jerusalem, including 20 cm fording through Wadi Sorek and later observations to the villages Battir and Hussan.

Happy New Year

The new year's trip of the 2CV Club to the "NORD" plane at Nahshon Forest, and to the picnic at "Diesel Hulda" where an old water pump that served Jerusalem is located

The first volume of childs' book "Gan Gani" by Levin Kipnis, which was first published in 1947, was republished by Itamar Books, and was celebrated with the family, Eliyahu Ha-cohen, Yehuda Atlas and many other people @ the book store in Kibbutz Kfar Aza.

The 2CV Club of ISrael, visited the vintage tractor yard of Avhsi Margolin in the village of Yokne'am. Later, the club headed to the traditional picnic, this time near Kibbutz Gall'ed.

2CV club members joined the Mor family in celebrating the birth of Eron, son of Inbal and Ofer, and brother of Agur and Arad.

The Classic SCANIA L75 truck from 1961 was launched after a complete renovation. The truck belongs to the SCANIA importer to Israel, "Max Trucks and Buses". The ceremony took place during the spring meeting of the Israel SAAB Club.

A visit to Dolmabahçe, the Sultan's palace in Istanbul, Turkey. The tour took place in both areas of the palace, The Selamlik, the official part of the palace and the Harem, where the wives and the family lived, and contains also the room where Mustafah Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the turkish republic and the first president passed away.

Paul Cotterell, The curator of the Isarel Railway's archive - 1944.07.09 - 2007.05.02.
Paul had died suddenly, suffering a heart attack, while searching the archives at the Kishon Works, north Israel.
The photos of this album were taken during his funeral in the Greek Orthodox Graveyard in Haifa. All his friends miss him so much. Paul, rest in peace up in the sky.
