My first cave experience as a child. My return as an adult forty years later with my friend Matt Saltzer on our way down to the V.A.R. caving event. Now I know what inspired my to become a cave explorer. What a beautiful cave!

This trip consisted of seven people Andy Leh, Alan Horn, Bill Livelsberger III, Bryon Brown, Nick Stoner, Matt Saltzer and, Pat "Jaws", We separated into two groups Bryan Matt and myself explored a very difficult area named the "New Hall" with many difficult climbs coated with very slippery mud over deep pits. A rope was rigged to safely navigate one exposed area over a deep pit. I had not fully explored this area many years ago due to those with me could not follow me. This trip however we all successfully explored this area to it's termination. It was evident that I had nearly reached this point on that earlier trip as there was only fifty feet or so that remained. I have seen all of this cave now! There were no extremely decorated areas here. The several photos exhibit the few formation and, the nature of the passage. The others in our group had never been in the cave before and explored the less difficult and more decorated areas passed the sand bank room.

My photography trip to capture the images of the nesting Bald Eagles turned into something entirely different when I heard the frantic screams of a survivor who with five others went over the 60 + foot high Holt wood dam on the lower Susquehanna river. I called 911 and directed the river swift water rescue workers to their location five of the six were recovered but 16-year-old Nicole Barlow one of the six is still missing as of today 05-06-2007 and presumed drown.

These photos were taken at a lake about 10 minutes from my home. These later added photos were taken some twenty or so miles south east of my home in Maryland

Photos taken at "Zoo America" in Hershey Pennsylvania home of the former Hershey chocolate bars Hershey Kisses. All products of "Hershey foods" I miss Hershey's chocolate after they moved part of their operation to Mexico In order to compete in the "global Market" I have not and will not buy any more Hershey products.

These incredibly beautiful waterfalls I have never visited in the winter before. The top falls have a spacious rock shelter cave behind the Vale that stays nice and cool even on the most hot summer day. It is a fairly difficult assent to the top and there have been numerous deaths from falls in the past. The majority of which have happened in the summer during dry conditions add the element of ice coated hard packed snow and freezing temperatures you better be careful! Well worth the risk as is evident from the photos. The small town was having at winter festival in the town square I have included photos I took of the ice sculptures and people at this event.
