| | White tail deer | | On my way home from work 11-09-2007 I spotted a large deer in a field. I pulled my car as far off of the road as I could. A misty rain drizzled on me as I crawled through the wet grass dressed in a Real-tree camo coat. I was able to get with in about 70 feet or so before he noticed my presence. Being more or less flat on the ground with a big white Cannon 200 mm IS lens I do not think he knew I was a human. He seemed curious and began to walk my way stopped turned and trotted away. I decided to imitate a doe bleat (This is the sound that a female deer makes) He stopped turned and again trotted this time toward me and stopped. I used the white cannon lens to my advantage here as I flipped it up and down trying to simulate a deer tail it worked he came a little closer. I of-course was snapping away though out this whole process. Here are some of the results! | | PROTECTED | | | | | Alan W Horn 2007 | | |
