Tuesday night the Ropers performed at Lackland Air Force Base Officer's Club for Air Force Village I's "Western Hoe-Down". The show was great, the audience was most appreciative and the food was the best!!!

The Annual Fund Raiser for Inner City Development, Inc. was held at Quihi Dance Hall on Saturday, February 3rd. The music was provided by the Medina Mud Band, the Trinity University Ropers C&W Dance Troupe entertained and a silent auction added to the excitment. A great time was had by all.

The TU Ropers once again performed their C&W floor show for the San Antonio Rodo fans. For the 16th year their "Rompin', Stompin' Affair" provided great family entertainment to dance enthusiast of all ages. Several of the Roper Rookies created variations never seen by human eyes and our handsome Master of Cermonies, Byron, added a few of his on. Yes, a fun time was had by all. What an exciting evening! A Ballroom Dance field trip for all of my classes, especially Trinity University Ballroom Dance I & II. The Our Lady of the Lake University Students joined us, my Adult Education Classes from Incarnate Word and NEISD, The students from Air Force Village I & II and the Students from both the Sunday & Thursday McMillan Ballroom Dance Club. The Robert James Orchestra played great music and the Trinity Univesity Ropers C&W Dance Troupe provided the floorshow. No doubt, a great time was had by all.

The TU Ropers performed once again for the Poteet Strawberry Festival which is one of our favorite places to kick up our heels. We gave them two great shows and in return we got strawberry shortcake, strawberry ice cream, chocolate covered strawberries and some (the one's over 21 of course) got a little strawberry wine. The first photo you'll see is of Jason taking on a monster turkey leg that was almost as big as he. A small town county fair and rodeo "Texas Style" made great memories...

What a great evening. The residents invited the Ropers to perform at their annual "Western Round-Up" in the main dining room. They shared a bar-b-que buffet, did a little Line Dancing, a Waltz with the residents and had a Ropin', Stompin' Affair.
