Erie SeaWolves vs. Richmond Flying Squirrels at Diamond, Richmond, Va., with July 4 fireworks. I hadn't been to a baseball game for a couple of years and had never attended a Flying Squirrels game before. There's definitely a difference between AAA and AA baseball, but we had fun and enjoyed the game.
Before the game, the Squirrels retired Arthur Ashe's "jersey" in tribute to his Wimbledon win 25 years earlier. After the game, the VCU pep band performed during fireworks, and in between, zany promotions kept the crowd entertained. Oh yeah, and the Squirrels won 4-3 in 10 innings.
The Squirrels don't allow professional zoom lenses (whatever that means) so I just brought my Canon SX120. Not my best shots, but they should give you a flavor for the game and atmosphere.

The girls only got in a few innings before the game was called due to a thunderstorm.

Texas Rangers vs. Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. Orioles won 9-0.
