The first-place Harrisburg City Islanders made a return trip to play the Richmond Kickers at University of Richmond Stadium on June 6, 2009. But unlike the last visit (a 2-2 draw), the Kickers romped in a 5-0 win. David Bulow scored twice and was man of the match. Adrian Bumbut and Ross Mackenzie also scored for the Kickers; the fifth goal was an own goal by Harrisburg.
Prior to the match, the Kickers hosted the School's Out Festival along the concourse with inflatable games, demonstrations, a band, and the Virginia Blood Services Bloodmobile. Miss Teen Virginia did a ceremonial first touch just prior to the match.
