Lift 1 return home   RSS
On July 16, 2006, 134 Soldiers from the 80th Division (IT) returned to the United States at Indianapolis International Airport. These Soldiers were the first lift of several to return from a year-long deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. From the airport, the Soldiers were taken by bus to Camp Atterbury, where family members waited to welcome them home.

Sgt. First Class Paul C. Tuttle calls his wife from the tarmac at Indianapolis International Airport on July 16, 2006, to let her know he has safely arrived back in the United States. Tuttle was one of more than 700 Soldiers from the 80th Division (IT) to deploy to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
