Mill Mountain Zoo

I visited this zoo on a rainy and very foggy day. While it wasn't ideal for taking photos, it kept the crowds away. I was there for about an hour, and the whole time, the only other people I saw were zoo staff members. I'd like to go back on a nicer day, but I am sure I won't be so lucky with the (lack of) crowds.

    In case you couldn't tell, the red panda was far and away my favorite animal at this zoo, even though the setup of the cage wasn't very helpful for taking photos.

    valley panorama
    On a clear day, this is a spectacular view of the Roanoke Valley. The day I went was rainy and very foggy, so (as you can see) the view was somewhat lacking. I wanted a shot just so I wouldn't look back at these photos later and wonder why I didn't get a photo of the valley.
