Patrick Tardieu, world-class professional athlete, international business entrepreneur, can now add the title of “fashion designer” to the list of his lengthy qualifications.
Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Patrick who displayed strong interest and skills in soccer at a very early age signed his first professional soccer contract at the young age of 16.
Educated in Brussels, Belgium where he obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration; all the while continuing to proudly defend his native colors on innumerable soccer fields of the world; most notably as Captain of the Senior National Soccer Team of Haiti; Patrick came to America in 1993 to join the Fort-Lauderdale Strikers soccer team.
In 1996 he became the first Haitian player to be signed to the American Major League Soccer (MLS) by the New England Revolution, a top contender in the League.
In 1993 still very active in professional sports, Patrick and his older brother Jerry Tardieu merged their business savvy and founded TARIMEX, a Florida corporation which later became one of the leaders of the freight forwarding and shipping industry in Haiti.
In 2002, on the verge of his soccer retirement, Patrick co-founded Soccer Management Services (SMS) for the purpose of scouting and managing Haitian soccer talents for international teams. One of SMS's major success stories came last summer when the company successfully enabled the transfer of a young Haitian player to a prestigious European club for the highest transfer fee ever recorded in Haitian soccer history (1 million EUROS!).
In 2003, in a quest for new business and creative challenges, Patrick in association with his younger brother Fabrice, conceived and created the clothing company that is today, Bogosse. Patrick’s insight and determination matched with Fabrice's experience in the fashion industry has thus far spelled out a formula for success for the two brothers.
The line targets a fashionable metro sexual international man with a versatile look and flair that range from the boardroom to the nightlife.
The Tardieu brothers look to expand their creative vision and impeccable sartorial style with accessories and a woman's line.
