The Women Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters presented The Eight Annual Miracle Makers Luncheon and Fashion Show Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Historic Biltmore Hotel nestled on the beautiful Golf Course in Coral Gables.
The afternoon began with a cocktail reception and silent auction. At noon guest moved into the ballroom eager to see the fashion show presentation by Godfrey del Rio.
Emcee Shannon Hori from WFOR CBS 4 welcomed the guests.
Benefactor were moved as they listed to the personal story of how a Big Brother Big Sister "match" changed a young girl's life. The afternoon delighted all as the Women's Committee of Big Brothers Sisters of Greater Miami honored their 2008 Miracle Makers.
Local philanthropist Norma Jean Abraham chaired the affair along with co-chairs Cindy Eisaman and Myra Porter.
Julia Bianchi, Paula Brockway,Constance Fernandez, Evelyn Greer, Irene Korge,Miami Beach Commissioner Richard Steinberg and Electra Spillis for"Lifetime Achievement" were recognize for their dedication to our community and were presented awards by the women's committee Co-Presidents Heidi Nosich and Adrienne Tober.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Board Member and WFOR 4 Shanon Hori emceed wich the fashion presentation by Godfrey del Rio featuring the "Best of Spring 2008" with delicious designs from Luca Luca, Rafael Cennamo and Blumarine.
State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle made a surprise announcement and presented BBBS CEO Lydia Muniz with a proclamation from the City of Miami for Big Brothers Big Sisters in recognition of 50 years of service to the community".
