An evening spent at Hotel Rose and the last sunset as seen from out hotel balcony.

Walk with Thomas Huber (guide) and the group. Bus to Juns, then taxi up to the Hollenstien Hutte. We then walked with the group to the top of Tettensjoch. The day was fantastic, clear skies, views stunning, but very hot with very little shelter from the sun. What a fantastic way to finish our holiday.

Photos taken on my first visit to The Pauener-Hutte.Told the views are fantastic from the top, but unfortunately the weather was not kind to us on the day. The sky was very grey, at times heavy mist and it rained during the whole walk, but it was still fun to do the walk.
I'll just have to go back and do the walk on a fine day and see those lovely views.

A walk up to the Berliner Hutte the oldest and the most impressive of the huttes. On route we stopped at the Gruwand-hutte, then walked onto the Alpenrosen-hutte before reaching the Berliner Hutte

Got bus to Ramsau, then took chair lift to Sonnalm, walked over the meadows to Stienerkoglehause (fantastic views). Had tea and applestruddel, then walked down to Brandberg and got bus back to Mayrhofen. Great day.

Setting out on our journey up the Penken Gondolas in the rain, and on reaching the halfway stage finding that it was snowing. The chairlifts to the top were not working because of the weather. We then walked towards Finkenburg and found that their Gondolas to the top were working, so we travelled to the top of the Penken. PURE WHITE OUT, still snowing heavily and four inches of snow lying. Went in for our usual drink and Applestruddel then travelled down again to the halfway stage of the Finkenberg gondolas then walked back to Finkenberg, with three of the party walking back to Mayrhofen the other three took the bus back.

Our first trip up the Penken Gondolas, (just a quick trip, but it lasted about four and half hours). Then we had a quick visit to Innsbruck.

A short holiday spent in South Wales visiting Alan's Aunt Myra and her family. Did a few walks when there and visited the town of Tenby a favourite of our from years ago.
