Reason for journey, my niece Fiona was marrying Sandy Nairn.
Travelled to Aberdeen to-day, took a lovely route, via Forfar, had lunch at Cuper Angus, past Glames Castle then headed to Aberdeen and Murcur where we were staying for our two night break.
Attended Fiona and Sandy's evening reception which took place in a marquee at the top of a hill outside Ellon in Aberdeenshire, with stunning views looking out over the North Sea.
Great wedding, fantastic being able to dance and look out to the North Sea to see ships lining up to enter Aberdeen Harbour. It never really got that dark, always had a band of light shining to the north, lighting and letting off lanterns to float up into the sky. The atmosphere outside the marquee when the fires were lit and the groom and his group came outside to play music by the firelight was great. All in all not bad for A WEDDING IN A TENT AT THE TOP OF A HILL. YOU GOT YOUR WISH FIONA
