A beautiful day out in Langholm in the Scottish Border Country.
The views from the top of the hill at Malcolm's Monument were fantastic, looking across the border hills and great views to the Solway Firth & the Lake District.
After the walk we took a trip to a Hermitage Castle, of the great many castles I have visited and photographed, this is the only castle I have ever felt uneasy about. The castle is so big and really oppressive, while standing at the castle you could imagine untold cruelty going on there in the past.
