To-day we set out to do a recci for the Midweek Walking Club
Our walk takes us to Ayrshire where we walked part of the Southern Upland Way.
After travelling from East Kilbride to the lovely little village of Carsphairn where we had morning coffee in the general store come tea room.
We then headed to the start of the walk, a junction on the B729 where a path leeds up towards Culmark Moss and open moorland to Culmark Hill
The walk to-day was a very open moorland walk with some fantastic long views, conditions were good with beautiful warm weather throughout the day, unfortunately there was some areas of the walk that were wet and boggy, but in general a good challenging walk.
The walk finished at St John's Town of Dalry. this is where we had our after walk social stop at the Lochinvar Hotel.
Another beautiful day and a good walk.
