Aviemore Recci
Nov 9, 2004

A two night stay at the Coylumbridge Hotel Aviemore. Bob, Alan & Neil doing the recci's for the walks for our visit to the area in January. Of course the wives tagged along and thoroughly enjoyed the walking as well.
A great break away. We all had a great time with loads of fun during the walks and at party time after the walks. Looking forward to January.

    Edinburgh
    Sep 8, 2004

A day spent walking in Hollyrood Park, round under Salisbury Crags and climbed Arthur's Seat. We also visited the Old Village of Duddington at the foot of the hills and some of the surrounding area. We stopped to take some pictures of our New Parliament Building and its building site at the foot of the Royal Mile, just across the road from Hollyrood Palace. The weather and the views from the top of Arthur's seat were fantastic.

    Kilsyth
    Mar 24, 2004

Alan & myself walked a route above Kilsyth. It was a beautifull day. We climbed to the top of a hill behind Kilsyth, When we reached the top the views were fantastic.
Standing on the top of the hill, if you looked to the right you could see the Red Road flats at Springburn Glasgow. Looked to the left you could see both the Forth Bridges and the BP Refinery at Grangemouth, you could also see the Bass Rock. If you looked behind you you could see the Wallace Monument at Stirling and the Highlands beyond, and finally when you looked in front of you, you could see Castlemilk and the flats at East Kilbride. WHAT VIEWS. Unfortunately no pictures of the above views due to the fact I forgot to recharge the battery for my camera. Possibly worth a return visit with a fully charged battery.

When we cam out of Dobbies, the weather had improved, but the original walk was too far away, so we ended up going for a walk at Roslin Glen. It was a could wet day, so it was avery short walk.
