Setting out on our second special walk of the year with the Mid-week Walkers. The weather according to the forcast was to be terrible, but we turned up anyway. God must have answered our prayers, the weather was good, overcast but dry and quite warm. We did an 8 mile linear walk from Glenbranter at one end of Lock Eck to Benmore Gardens at the other end of the Loch. The views were lovely and the autumn colours were beautiful. We had a lovely time and finished the walk then had a meal at the Cairndow Hotel. We left the hotel to walk to the bus and were met with the most beautiful sunset, the sky appeared to be on fire, such colours, they seemed to change so quickly in the minute or two we stood watching it. What a perfect end to a perfect day.
