| | Kilsyth Recci Recci for Midweek Walking Group. A very cold but beautiful day. We started our day with the drive from East Kilbride to Kilsyth where we stopped for our morning coffee break at the Coachman. We then travelled to the Colzium Estate where our walk started, we walked past Branton Loch and eventually started our climb up over moorland, as we climbed we had fantastic views over to Grangemouth and the Forth Rail Bridge, we could also see Wallace Monument, the hills to the north and Glasgow and its surrounding area. The outward walk was very good with these fantastic views, but unfortunalely we had difficulty finding a path down from the Tomtin Viewpoint, We did manage to walk down and ended our walk in the grounds of Colzium House, but the route we had taken was very uneven and very dirty, not a path to take almosst 50 people to. We will have to go back to find a better finish to the walk. | PROTECTED | | | | | | | Copyright of Catherine Mitchell B232532 | | | | | |
