Is there a trick to pollinating D. Horwoodii? I have had one for three years now, and although it is flowering whenever it is growing, I have never gotten a single seed from it. Are they dioecious? I am having great difficulty finding any information on this species. any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I just love all the photos of Dorstenia Island. Great idea, executed beautifully!!!
Salut!!! grâce à cet album j'ai enfin trouvé à quelle espèce appartient mon dortenia. Tes photos son vraiment trés belles. Merci de partager ta passion sur le net. A bientôt peut être...
Hello Marc, Good to see you are a Dorstenia lover! It is an interesting group. The species you showed above is not D.elata, but Dorstenia bahiensis. If you want to talk about these species, write to my email. I have some interesting pictures of Dorstenias. Regards, Marcelo
Hello Marcelo, Sorry but my Dorstenia is definitely a D. elata! The D. bahiensis has a pinkish inflorescence, the D. elata one is almost black (very dark violet) I'd like to have some seeds of D. bahiensis! Regards Marc

I like this green and blue color together, very nice
I love the look of the Dorstenia elata. I've searched the net and can't find anywhere to purchase it. I had one of these plants as a kid and would love to have one again. Can you tell me where I might be able to purchae one? I live in the San Francisco Bay Area...
