Buddy bought this car from Cecil Gordon (who had driven it in 9 races in 1983) in the fall of 83. Buddy used it until March 85, then rented it out to Phil Goode for a few races. Phil drove it in the SEPT '85 race at Dover. This was the last time a MOPAR ran in NASCAR until 2001.
Hi Pat, I enjoy your albums, havent browsed for quite a while and have noticed that two Richard Petty post card pics are missing, please put them back in your album.
Most difficult driver in the 70's to get an autograph from...you could go into the pits and infield after the race then...most other drivers were pretty easy to get...not DW though...fan-friendly?...yeah right
It's Ricky Rudd...from 79 or 80...Jody Ridley didn't drive for Donlavey until 81...and then it was in the downsized Ford...that's also Jimmy Means in front of him in a late 70's MonteCarlo
Actually, this is from 77 or 78...Rudd drove for Donlavey in 79 and 80...then Ridley in 81...also, its a GranTorino...Donlavey had a T-Bird and a Mercury for 79 and 80..then T-Bird only for 81 and 82
ahhh ! The famous Gardner R&D car that won at Daytona by accident while testing shocks and setups for Bobby Allison ... who quit DiGard that night ... Sacks got his ride. DiGard's last win by the way.
