1943 Tikka 91/30, built on a 1938 round Tula receiver. This rifle is pretty rare -- sadly, the stock was stripped and refinished. It wasn't sanded very much (if at all), but the original finish is gone forever. The metal is great, the bore is a tiny bit dark (no debris at all) but still quite shiny, the lands/grooves are perfect, and it's not been counterbored. All in all, it's a great rifle... it's just been refinished.

This is a new-production civilian version of the famed M14 service rifle. According to Springfield Armory, Inc. this rifle was built in 2003. This particular M1A is one of the "loaded" versions -- NM stainless barrel, NM front sites, NM trigger job, etc. I replaced the original plastic/fiberglass handguard with a walnut version from Fulton Armory. I completely refinished the stock (that original Springfield stain job was pretty poor) and handguard with several liberal coats of Behr's #600 tung oil finish. This is definitely a great looking rifle!
