This Persian Mauser M98/29 was manufactured by the BRNO Arms Factory in Czechoslovakia in 1930 (1309 on the Persian calendar) under Persian contract. These rifles were selected as the standard weapon of the Persian Army and were renown for their accuracy. They were also favored by the Persian Palace Guards for ceremonial activities. The high quality of the Persian Mauser has made it the epitome of pre-WW2 rifle design -- this rifle exemplifies the lost art of rifle craftsmanship. Caliber 8mm Mauser.
