Roger, we couldn't compete against you at Raceway, you had way too much engine for our little ford torino, but you inspired Scott Tanzillo a bunch! Made him drive all the harder. Hobbyfest was a blast. Illiana was serious racing, but Raceway was just plain ole fun!

His 1st car, I remember the 1st time he, and his brother pulled in, what a goofy sight! Great guys though, and his brother had one hot girl friend who worked the in concession stand!!!
Hey you guys...long time no hear. Give me a call, so I can hear what's new in both of your lives. Car looks nice Eric; Ryanington, those wheels look discustingly awful! Did Fern's radiator shop sponsor you with them? :) Jim Urso 708-220-8270
I was friends with his son Dave and Russ was the first guy I used to help out. I was a kid and couldn't do much. He won his first feature in this car after years of trying and I still have fond memories of that night.

When I found out RP was going to close, my fiance (now my wife) and I drove to Blue Island from Madison, WI. She said she thought I should say good-bye to RP. She never attended a race there. We get to the track and a balding man with a baseball cap was standing there asking us to take his picture in front of the race track. It was Al Stuchel. He and I went inside and took a lap around the track. Nice guy and I'm happy he shared his memories with me.
