The night I saw Larry win @ the Waukegan Speedway was
for the "All Star 200" on Monday July 5th.,1976. John McKarns
    promoted the race that night.

I remember Larry just kicking butt with the "Junk Yard Dog" Camaro.....I saw him in this car at
    the "Old" Waukegan Speedway....guess what,
he kicked their butts that night....took care of a
visiting Mike Miller! Did they ever do an article
on Larry in Stock Car Racing Magazine?
How many Features did he win @ Illiana in 1976?
    How many Features at Grundy?

Larry was and is a good driver and he one 1 artgo feature race at grundy , his home track. But Trickle won several and Shear won ten or eleven artgo feautures there and with a little luck could have easily won 5 or 6 more. Now I know you have your memories of a certain race and I have mine of several more where the roles were reversed. But no disrespect to Larry. He is really good.

When the Wisconsin "bunch' came to Grundy they couldn't beat Larry with the Junk Yard Dog, I saw Larry kick Trickle, Reffner, Shear and Mark Martin in a Artgo Show, they all went home with their tail between their legs!! It was Great!!! Trickle's ego got shot down that night!!!

As most everyone knows, Larry Schuler, WAS the "KING" in 1976 with a total of 43 Feature wins and 3 track champions in 3 States..Grundy County, Illiana, and Wisconsin International Raceway!!! If 1976 was today, Larry Schuler and Mr. George Appleton, his car builder, ( Appleton Rack and Pinion, Racecars, ) Would surely "kick ass" in NASCAR....Larry was "Fearless" and George was a "Wizard"!!!!!!!!
