He was identified by 2 people my wifes father and his brother. Both were called to identify his body--My wifes uncle who was one of the 2 and married to Bobby & Johnnys sister .I think we do know what happened, maybe no one really knows but we do and he is dead
For what its worth, as family, there has not been confirmation of what happened to Bob. The common belief is the Dauber story. It is also rumored that he ended up in the witness protection program though this seems to me to be wishful thinking.
You peope have no idea of what you speak- Bobbys body was identified- in person by 2 people- My wifes father was one of these and directly related to him. offically declared dead or not --he is --and no he was not pig feed, he is not in Mexico, he and Hitler are not in Argentina together --he was found in the DesPlains river--and yes Johnny got a knock on the door after he was told never to return to IL. but did not heed te warning--All these BS theories need to stop. The truth is known by the family and I hate to say it but they are the only ones who matter--I remain anonymous to protect the ones who know the truth, and to hell with everyone else
Pronger's case is still open,he has never been offically declared dead.The talk back when he disappeared was that he made it to Mexico.The story was that John,Bob's brother was seen getting on a plane to Mexico to bring Bob supplies.John can't tell us anything,he got a knock on the door in Aug.88......................
Bob Pronger was killed & fed to the pigs at a farm in Indiana so that there would be no reamins including dental,his brother John was informed of it immediatley afterwards , and was told by the killers that they wanted part of John's chop shop business or he would be nex talso John pled guilty to a crime that Bob committed & served the jail time because Bob had a wife & family to take care of.
Bob Pronger was killed in Merriville Indiana & fed to the pig's to eat his remains,after he was killed the 2 killers went to see his brother John in his Bkue Island garage&told him that Bob was gone & they also wanted part of his chop shop business,this is the same garage that Billy Dauber used to drive by periodicaly and shoot the big garage door with a machine gun just to startle him
The story about finding Bobby in the DesPlains river ( near Joliet) is the only one of these posts with any credence. He was identified, and not by dental records; however that information was suppressed by the FBI..... Remember when Bobby would steal cars and go race at Santa Fe Race Track ?????? And where is Johnny???????
my dad raced with bob,bud and bill van allen in the 50's. he said ,when the law came bob would leave in a hurry.he drove a 6 chevelle at raceway park in the late 60's and was unbeatable that year. my favorate was bud keohler.
Sr. was telling me a story last week about how Pete was mad at Pronger one night and told him to follow him down to the East bar, that he was going to kick Prongers rear end. Anyway, I guess Pete lunged at him then Pronger proceeded to pick him up and throw him across the Bar. If you ever talk to Sr. have him re-tell the story. Very funny when he tells it.
An article appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times that Bob Prongers body was found face down in the DesPlains River. Bob's body was so decomposed they could only identify him by his dental record(s)! Has anyone else read this?
I think this is the night Pronger spun Koehler out and vis versa, then Pronger tried to t-bone Koehler down the frontstraight after he had chased him around with a bunch of flat tires. Pronger cut across the grass and missed Koehler by inches and then took a sledgehammer to Bud's new car in the pits.
