That old # 3 later became Scott Tanzillo's #48, and won many a race at Illiana in the Sports Stock division. Two great drivers, 1 great car.

I believe that is Jim Hardin on the inside of Clark.
    Is that Bond behind Gawlinski?
I can not figure out who is behind Lewis.
We kept waiting for the Christmas lights to come out that year. The good ol' days.

I'm pretty sure Weitemeyer was there that day, maybe he is behind Lewis. He had an all white front end by the end of the season. First Turn Gang should know everyone there that day. Go to the tape...

It was the end of the season. To be exact it was Nov 5th ot 6th, 1977, and it was 3-30 lap monzas. Pete was going to run 'til XMas that year, but the attendance fell off. Too bad, because it was some great late model racing. That day, Dennis Perezley won the 3rd feature. Bob Strait and Bobby Dotter are out there along with Bud Koehler in his last race.

It must have been the end of the season. Cars look pretty battered. Frank Gawlinski in the black number 3 Chevelle. I think this was the year before the infamous yellow 14 Camaro made its debut.
