Remember this guy as a kid. Must have been a friends of Stashs as they were always parked by each other with purple cars. Was a big guy, the door had to flip down for him to get in.

The 47 is Billy Kuhn but the car on the inside sure looks like the 2 tone blue #42 of Wayne Kullman to me.

You are very very close to the facts my freind. Pronger, he was a tough nut and a stand up guy and would not give an inch regardless of who you were ,if he thought he was right.came at a time when bad things happened in the night and not talked about. I witnessed him pull a driver by the legs around 100 feet after the driver jumped on his back during an on the track fist fight one eve.. that is the gospel truth.. it was the best entertainment you could get for a couple bucks on a sat eve ... kinda like WWF Roller Derby and Raceway park drivers all in one. Team races driver feuds pit fights fights in the stands aahhhh the good old days Van Allen bumping and nudging Koehler then the same in reverse all in a twenty lap feature race
This 7 car may have been a driver by that number Bob or Bill Heiser (Sp) may vary spelling... but I believe he used to use 07 as his car number He up til 1958 59 had always had driven a convertable and used the Older cloth style Helmets which was a trip to see But he resembled Ray Liotta in Looks as I remember my sisters ooogling that driver in the convertible lol

Grandfather Don Shultz raced at Raceway and Savage in 40s' and 50s'. Was #86 mostly I believe. He worked for Harry at The Shop and Track(Illiana) for years. Lost photos in a flood in 70s'. Anyone remember him? Any Photos? Have 1 photo.
Bud was my favorite driver back in the day. I used to go to the track with my old man Ron W. Swanson who raced in the Golden Knights division with Ted Kirkhoven and I always rooted for #77 and hated to see the evil Ray Young take one from him. I raced one season back in 1982 and drove a white 68 Chevelle to victory in the opening day feature race, beating Craig Johnson who spun out in the final laps. Sorry Raceway is gone, but the memories are forever!

I think it was an old lady in a see through dress.
Sorry, but this was not my dad's (Chuck Manis) first late model...not sure who this is, buy wasn't my dad's. If anyone knows who this is...please post it...Thanks...Debra Manis
thanks for telling us who that guy on the left was. I had no idea who that was...sounds like a bad guy. Chuck Manis, in the middle, is my father, the guy on the right is Louie Johnson, he was my husband way back then. Greg...contact me at traveller77_@msn.com Don't forget to put the underscore line after the 77. Hard to see it in the message...Thanks Debra
I messed up the e-mail address on the previous comment. It is actually traveller77@msn.com. In addition to Chuck Manis, my father (center) in the picture, the guy on the left is Louie Johnson, not sure who the guy on the right is...if anyone knows...please post it. Gregory Gray....e-mail me please.
Gregory: I just read your comment about dad's picture. I would love to contact you but I don't have your phone number. Please e-mail me at traveller77@man.com Would love to hear from you. Isn't this a GREAT website honoring all the drivers...I LOVE IT.
