There was a story a bunch of years ago about some guy the authorities had who knew what happened to Pronger and a bunch of others or they knew where he was, or something. I remember seeing Pronger's picture in the paper with the story. I don't remember if the story said they recovered his body. I went to grade school with the Roulo's and even they didn't know what happened to him.

I liked George Hill a lot then that old mean and nasty Pete Jenin kicked him out of raceway.

Manis drove a '57 Chevy like this the year he won the Amateur Division championship.

I seem to remember the #126 winning every race it was in one year. He was in the lead by the second or third lap and pretty much coasted the rest of the race.

Guest Old fan dude wrote: July 7, 2006 - 11:07 PM

His cars were always white over orange.

Guest Old fan dude wrote: July 7, 2006 - 11:06 PM

I remember the year Freeman won the championship, every time he gunned it off the turn two little white puffs of smoke would come out the exhausts.

I seen Koehler at Illiana in the late sixties and he stunk up the track that day.
