This guy was known as "johnny the hook" back in the mob days in the very early 70's....read the book "double deal" by Mike Corbett...he was the chief of police in Willow Springs...you would be surprised at some of the chicagoland drivers who were connected !!!

Lil John showed up a couple of weeks in a row. The first night he blocked and chopped David Weltmeyer for 30 laps to win the feature. The next week when he tried to do the same thing to David he met with the 3rd turn pit exit and was never seen again at Raceway.
