This was D J. earlier this year after he skipped out on recess to go take a few laps at the track.

Don't you just love a convertable,Too bad they don't run them around here no more. But they still do in Michigan and Florida. They should let them run at Illiana and Grundy

Most of the cars in this series are actual racing chassis with stock steel bodies on them. Ever think he maybe got stock body parts from a junkyard or an old rusted out body some guy had in his barn? Then loaded it up with bondo to make it look pretty. I seriously doubt he took a street legal 57 Chevy and hacked it up.

Anonymous wrote: February 12, 2008 - 9:10 PM

Who ever owns that car must be a fool . who would cut up a 57 chevy to build a stock car? He must not know what kind of money there worth left on the street.

Sure wish i had a cool looking car like that, I would have had it at super chevy show! & world of wheels!

Guest Troy Shear wrote: January 28, 2008 - 5:26 PM

I am Troy Shear Jr., That is me in the 6 car. I found this page thanks to punching my name into google.

I wasn't pushed, a car ahead of me punted the car in front of him coming to the green flag - also putting a hole in that person's radiator. I just happened to be the person lucky enough to drive through the water on the track. I walked away unharmed, and I raced the same car at the next race two weeks later after we repaired the chassis.

I've seen her stuff here the last couple of years. Always see her in the pits or infield with Steve. Photographer and she races street stocks at Illiana, not bad
