- A group of friends on a trip to Anacapa Island in the Channel Islands National park off the coast of California. We kayaked the first day, spent the night camped on the island, hiked and some of us snorkled the second day before taking the big boat back to the mainland. A WONDERFUL time was had by everyone. - The Fund for Animals: Wildlife Rehabilitation Center - Ramona California. The goal is to nurse the animals till well, and then release them back into the environment in the same place they were picked up.

Taking my new toy to the Scavenger Hunt - Aug 23, 2008

In my continuing effort to jump start the economy all by myself, I just bought a Nikon D700 camera with the Nikor VR 24 -120 lens.
To try it out, I took it to the Sierra Club Photography Section's annual Scavenger Hunt. This is one of our most popular events. Contestants are given a list of 12 categories and allowed about three hours in a designated area to come up with photos representing the categories.
