Tri Five 55 56 57 Chevy Gassers

HUGE collection of Tri Five Gasser photos!!

This is a collection of tri five Chevy Gasser style cars shown for reference. Some are the real deal, some are later era Super Stockers or "Street Freaks", some are modern renditions and some are just a mess, but they are all cool in their own way if you dig these vintage cars.

There is no intent to profit from these photos. If you see a photo that you have taken and would like me to add credit for you as photographer, please indicate the photo number (not the actual name of the file) and I would LOVE to provide a credit for your fabulous shots.

Likewise, if you see your photo and prefer not to have it added to this collection of reference material, please note the photo number and I will regrettably remove it.

PLEASE email your personal gasser photos for inclusion via anderegypt@aol.com Especially loved are old family photos. Send them in!! COMMENTS WELCOME!!!

    ats a nice
Is this car from the Chicago area? I remember a car identical to this as a kid. In the summer of 1968, it was parked at a Standard station on Washington Blvd. in River Forest(?) My dad drove a bus route past it and would drop me off so I take a closer look and get hot dogs fron the stand across the street. If this is the same car, It put a huge influence on me. I used to try to draw it in school. I now own my own 57 Chevy and helped a buddy build a gasser like this a few years ago. I would sure like to know what happened to this car and get more info on it. Thanks for the pick and the memories!

Steve, My uncle used to have a 57 Chevy Named Draggin Mouth that he kept at my father gas station in Oak Park (corner of Lake and Ridgeland) around that time.  I'm still looking for that car myself.  It was the reason why I love drag racing today....

I Robert L. Heizer, am the first cousin to the owner and driver of tnis 55 gasser of Van Leslie Heck's car! His father Les Heck and my Mother Roaslie Ann  Heck Heizer were brother and sister. I was with Van about every summer with him as we ran around his hometoen of Evansville Il. He was a wild and wonderful cousin, but grew up and was the best chevrolet mechanic I ever seened, My own brother John Thomas Heizer is right in is caliber of being the best now. Van passed awat a couple years ago in a terrible truck-car accident!   The Heck & my Heizer family misses him still. Thank you for this opportunity to say a little about Van. The car he had was still around for 30 yrs. in a garage. It was auctioned off for many thousands of dollars. The car now belongs to Larry Fries. I went to High School with him. He made a video of the car. To view it go to A period perfect 55 gasser Mr. ChevyV8TV on the internet.

"ALLEY OOP" is a tribute to when I was in high school and helped a neighbor with his 55. I had every thing to build a gasser in the garage.  Just needed a body. So Just like at 18 again, all we had was 'parts' and no 'money'. My two 55's looked just like this ! This truly is "MY THERAPY"  530 h.p.  383 stroker ,4-speed ,9" rear.  It will pass every thing but a "Blond and a Gas Station" !

    There goes "ALLEY OOP" !
