Most people are familiar with Valencia, but lets share some great information on Shauney.
LaShaundra "Shauney" Harris is a recent graduate from Hair Academy of New Carrollton, Md (2008). However, the beauty field is not new to her. She's been doing hair for about 9 years after her grandma would allow her to play in her hair....lol. During that time she had experimented with haircolor, hair cuts, and different methods of weaves. After alot of do's and major DON'TS, Shauney gained alot of product knowledge and hair techniques at an early age. As a high schooler on a budget, Shauney always wanted to change her look. She developed a skill to do weaves, after improving in her skill, Shauney found herself styling hair for her family and classmates throughout her years in high school. After high school Shauney attended college for a while before joining the workforce deeming "hairstyling" a mere hobby for fun. After 4 years of working dead end jobs, Shauney's mother (a 24 year licensed cosmetologist), gave her the knowledge of some advanced hair techniques and the encouragment to tranform her hobby she loved into a career she could be passionate about. Shauney is very passionate about what she does. She loves the reaction on womens faces after shes offer them a service that enhances their beauty. In the words of Shauney "When I make women feel beautiful about themselves, it boosts their self confidence to perform well on that job interview or just to go out and achieve the things they thought they could never do, I absolutely LOVE WHAT I DO!" Shauney is now a cosmetology graduate, certified colorist, and licensed cosmetologist in the state of maryland. She strives to learn the newest and best methods of hair extensions and hair care so that she may provide exceptional service while still maintaining the integrity of your hair. "One day I hope that every woman can have hair that they love, whether its a weave or not!"

Pictures by our first Featured specialist are posted in this folder. She actually did my weave recently. I am still enjoying this weave. In fact, I am going to take the trip up to cleveland just to get my hair redone by her. She is the only one I trust outside of Valencia or Reniece to be able to really show off the beauty of the texturizing job that Valencia (www.hairbyvalencia.com) did on this hair.

I pesonally have really thick hair, but Mrs Anita is specializes in extension for alopecia suffers and those with thinning hair.
