AUTOMOBILES...

Pictures of automobiles I've had over the years. This is divided into albums, etc. If you've seen some of my other pictures, I've "thrown in" pictures of various autos, etc. (As for car shows and races, they're NOT in this particular folder. Maybe they should be???) Enjoy!

The Upcoming Last Days of the 1998 Chevy S-Blazer...
Apr 19, 2008

Pictures taken on April 19th, 2008 of the 1998 Chevy S-Blazer which was my late father's.

The Blazer has been good overall, but has been giving my Mom problems since my Dad's death in September of 2004. The most recent event is the head gasket needs replacing and more than likely by the way this particular engine is built, the entire engine needs to be replaced. The Blazer can't be driven as is...and is near death.

So, upon learning of the Blazer's fate, I decided to take some pictures of it along with my Dad's 1969 International Scout and my 2006 Jeep Liberty. Not pictured is my Dad's 1989 Chevy S-Blazer which my sister now has. It would've been neat to have pictures of it along with the Scout and 98 Blazer! Oh well...

PS - I still think it's rather neat of how the old-fashioned Scout has OUTLASTED so many things. I hope it even outlasts me! Really, I do.

UPDATE - July 11th, 2008 - The Blazer is still around...just not being driven. The Jeep's doing well overall and the SCOUT is the SCOUT. What else??? :-)

The 1969 International Harvester Scout 800A...
    Sep 26, 2004

Just a few "vanity" pictures of my late father's 1969 Scout, which has been in the family since 1977. Since my father's passing, the Scout seems to be even MORE sacred than ever. (Oh, it is interesting to note that these pictures were taken on Sunday, September 26, 2004...just days before my father passed....and, NO, the Scout is NOT for sale!)

    The 2007 Carry-On Trailer

I know this actually isn't a "true" automobile which could be driven under its own power, but I just purchased the handy little trailer from Lowe's Home Improvement in December of 2007.

It's a "Carry-On" Trailer (http://www.carry-ontrailer.com) and I decided to get the smallest one because it's in my plans to take it camping with me...that is, if I ever get to go camping again!!!

The covered cargo box is from SEARS and I purchased it in March of 2007. The box fits on the trailer perfectly and what-not.

Anything else to share??? Maybe later.

The 2006 Jeep Liberty Limited 4X4

As some of you know, my 2001 Oldsmobile Alero GLS decided to turn evil on me the week before Christmas 2006 and died...in a sense. I'll spare you the story. If you want to know more detail, contact me.

Anyway, I was sort of stuck without a car even though I did have access to one of my late father's vehicles and I did inherit his 1969 International Scout 800A. But, the Scout is too old and sacred for me to use it as a daily driver. Besides, the Scout was purchased when I was four years of age and that was in 1977.

So, I was getting all hyper in car searching and came across this 2006 Jeep Liberty Limited 4X4...NEW. It was practically the last NEW 2006 Jeep Liberty on the car lot where I purchased it from...which was on December 27th, 2006....two days after Christmas! :-)

I have been greatly blessed and this is the first actual NEW vehicle I've ever had. I've been used to GM front-wheel-drive two-door coupes since 1991 even though I did (and still do) drive the Scout several times. (What a change!!!)

Enjoy looking at the pictures....I'll be posting them when I have time. Also, the "first" pictures are actually the newest ones. :-)

(Oh yeah....as of March 21st, 2007, I have driven the Liberty over 4200 miles!!!)

(UPDATE - As of December 6th, 2007, the Liberty has over 19800 miles on it!!! I know that when December 28th, 2007 rolls around, I'll have over 20000 miles on the Liberty for the first year of me having it. I have taken pictures since July...but haven't posted them yet.)

PS - It's now December 24th, 2007...and the Liberty has over 20500 miles.

The 2001 Olds ALERO...as well as the Last Days of the RETTA, ETC...

Whoa! Just a few pictures of the last day of the 1996 Chevrolet Beretta (the namesake of my usernames--which WILL stay!), the first few days of the 2001 Oldsmobile Alero GLS, etc. Enjoy the pictures! :-) (Oh, this was during the first weekend of August 2003.)

    The 1996 Chevy Beretta

My third car, a 1996 Chevy Beretta (the namesake of my username, etc.) was purchased on September 27th, 1997. It served me well until August 2nd, 2003 when I purchased the pathetic 2001 Olds Alero GLS. Oops, did I say the Alero was pathetic? It wasn't at first!!! It actually was good. :-)

    The 1988 Pontiac Grand Am

My second automobile, a 1988 Pontiac Grand Am...which served the family well from July 10th, 1991 to February 5th, 2001. Even after I purchased my 1996 Chevy Beretta on September 27th, 1997, the Grand Am was still around.

    The 1984 Pontiac T-1000

Just a few pictures of my first car, a 1984 Pontiac T-1000 (a Chevy Chevette clone). I had the car from July 25th, 1988 to July 24th, 1991 (when I purchased a 1988 Pontiac Grand Am). I sincerely do apologize for not having too many pics of the 1000. I didn't have a digital camera back in the late 1980's/early 1990's and just didn't take too many pictures then. There are still some pics of the 1000. All I have to do is to find them, etc. Whew! (Oh, it's neat to note that this was my smallest car...and it was rear-wheel-drive too!)

    More of the 1969 Scout

You know, this has been around for thirty years and there have quite a few pics taken of it! I'll be posting some of them here. :-)
