Ok so I'm back with the jump off ladies, I know I've been MIA for a year or so and that's because I started my military career and that has taken up a ridiculous amount of time plus I'm going to school and I just got a new laptop and what not. I'm back in full effect though! Alot has happened and I will inform you all as the pics upload. Ok, At the beginning of 2009 I really began to understand that keeping my hair braided up constantly was doing my journey no good. I had no idea what my hair needed and how to properly care for it as it was growing b/c I wasn't as comfortable with the length (being honest). So I started doing my research and figured out some things I wanted to try and decided Hell I already shaved it let's rock it!!
So that's what I did I stopped getting braids and started styling my own hair and testing out products and learning about my texture, basically falling in love with my mane. I have been natural for 1 yr and 8 mos. This journey has been amazing and the best decision I've made thus far.

I chose to just cut it all off, best decision I ever made. I felt so free and in control not depending on stylists who want to do there own damn thing and charge you an arm & a leg. I feel very in control of my life with this move. Alot of people didn't think I'd do it (neither did I) but I DID...I really DID it!!!

Thanks ladies you gave me that inspiration to make bold choices.

This is my most recent growth, I love that I can document my regrowth. I am still having alittle trouble keeping my hair moisturized. My regimen is pretty simple ( I have been testing out different products) so Idk what's wrong :(
I was also wondering should I get cornrows when I go to basic? I wanted to originally but I'm nervous now because I don't know If that will break my new hair off or dry it out even more. I thought that I should b/c I won't be able to give my natural hair the attention it needs, and basic is 6.5 weeks so let me know what you think ladies.
