Grinding Wheel from Mill at Milnclaren, Lairg

When Eleanor and I were in Lairg we tried to find Milnclaren and when we saw this wheel, we stopped to look at it. A lady came to the window and we asked her about it. She told us it came from the old mill at Milnclaren. We asked where the mill had been in Milnclaren and she said right here and then pointed over to a creek lined with trees which ran down the hill not far from the church. One of our ancestors, Elspet McDonald and her family lived at Milnclaren
