This parish map of the parishes of East Ross-shire was given to me by Andy Airess who is researching his own family in the Tain area. He writes: "Not a lot of cities and towns were placed as to make the map more
simple. The boundaries of parishes change every now and then. This map was created by overlaying an undated parish boundary map (I
estimate its date as about 1832) and a topographical version from Microsoft
Virtual Globe. There are notable differences between the boundaries on this map and one from the Phillimore Atlas of Parish Records, including the Sutherland county line. I hope you find it useful.
