The Raleigh Peace Rally had close to 8000 people of all faiths. The pro war group was actually out numbered by the police keeping them from the peace people, their numbers were about 40 people.

Many of these people had anti Kerry signs, yet none of the progressives attending the rally even mentioned Kerry, some were Kucinich supporters. This rally was about ending the cycle of violence and racism mainly. Yes many were anti Bush and what self respecting progressive would not be.

During the DC Peace march which had about 100,000 peace activists attend, there was a small group of maybe 100 pro war activists.

Lets hope for peace!!!!

Peace Vigil held in Durham, NC at Brightleaf Square every Saturday from noon til 1pm. This vigil was nearly rained out with tornado warnings and a downpour that lasted about 20 minutes during the middle of the vigil.

Peace Vigil held every Saturday in Durham, NC. 100+ people showed up at this vigil. Also the Durham Herald and Channel 11 News interveiwed several participants.
