i really love what all of you have done to form a more simpler way of getting locs. i dredded having cut 4 years of loc maintenance and growth, months after. now after seeing you alls images, have likely reawakened the pure essense of Ausar, Aset and Heru. i'm regrowing mine, peoplz. 4real Uhuru!
I happened upon your naturalfreedomjourney.com site today which documents your initial "Big Chop" in February '01. Looking at your plight has given me the courage I needed to embark on the same Journey. I was due to get my perm trimmed back today but looking at your pics has inspired me to get the "Big Chop" as well. My hair is short so I too will be wearing a TWA. Hopefully it won't seem too drastic and I go into shock...lol... Anywho, thank you so much for sharing your journey with the world. Your locs are absolutely BREATHTAKING. I too will document my journey in hopes that I will inspire someone as you have inspired me.
You are truly an inspiration. i made what I thought was the big cut knowing full and well my index length hair was still too straight. In the midst of reading your story I decided to cut it all off. Once i have hair again I will definitely get locs. thanks for sharing your story
SWEETIE I GOTTA SAY IS I LOVE IT ALOT I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF DO I WANNA LOC OR KEEP WEARING MY DRY TWO STRAND TWIST , HOWEVER JUST FROM LOOKING @ THE STAGES I WAS LIKE WOW!!!!!. QUESTION DID U START UR OWN LOCS FROM DAY ONE? CAN U PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK ON SOME TIPS ON WHAT I SHOULD DO?
your journey has been a blessing to me. Today, my hair looks like yours did 5 years ago. I just got my hair twisted and i wanted to take them down but i am going to try and stick it out. Believe it or not I have been trying to get to this point for about 4 years. Making the decision to go natural is a tough decision. Society puts alot of pressure on us to stick to the European way of doing things. You have proven to me that it can be done and that it is worth it !! When I saw the t-shirt that was the icing on the cake.
That shirt is the hawtness!
Take care,
Stella
LOVE SELF FIRST!!! The rest will follow...
BTW you look cute
