Well, she finally made the final decision to cut her 5-year locs off...mainly due to the huge amount of build up that had accumlated in her locs. We cut off a good 8 inches...she had let it grow out for about a year (well...maybe not quite a year, lost track) and so we were able to pick apart the remaining locked portions (some were more difficult than others) in about 3 days (with LOTS of break-time) and left her with about a good 5-6 (stretched out) inches of hair!

She says she "might" decide to lock again at a later date, but for now is enjoying her loose naptural hair. I have to admit, I'm just a tad bit envious and for a moment...just for a moment, thought of releasing my own locs. But then I thought again and said, "Naaahh" LOL!
