Celebrating 5 years of my natural hair journey!! From my big chop (7/31/2006) to current (7/31/2011). Time really has flown by.

In commemoration, I've chosen some of my favorite hair pics from over the years to put in this album.

Pics from July 2011. I straightened my hair and realized that I'm *finally* back at waist length after the "trim" turned hair cut back in March 2010. :-)

Some recent pics, including a few straight ones. Will add more photos as time goes on.

Here are a few updates to show what's been going on with my hair since my last update in the Spring.

I wanted to have some straight hair pics for the next update I did, but it's been too humid. Straightening my hair now would be an exercise in futility and frustration. I'll have to wait until it gets a bit cooler outside.

So most of these pics are really nothing new. It had just been awhile since I updated my fotki and figured I might as well.

And sorry about the lack of an impressive update. To be honest, I wasn't in the mood to take hair pics for a long time after my hair cut. I figured seeing the missing length would just depress me. But now I'm currently back at mid-back length (I was bra-strap length after the hair cut), and hope to be back at waist length soon.

I had never seen what my hair looks like air dried with absolutely no product on it. I've taken many pictures of my hair wet with no product, but never let it dry that way.

But I got curious. So here it goes. Some pics of my hair air dried, after washing and conditioning, with no product put on it.

Just some random hair photos from the last few weeks. My hair hasn't really changed a lot since I last put up pictures.

But on the off chance there is a BIT of difference in my hair between now and a couple months ago, I decided to put up a few new pics.

I decided to add some old hair pics I found on my computer. The pics are from last year but somehow never made it on here. I figured I'd go ahead and put them up now (especially since my newer pics are boring).

Spring has finally sprung, and I'm in a picture taking mood. ;-p

This month makes it 4 years since I last had a relaxer. I can't believe how the time has flown by. I am still very happy about my decision to go natural all those years ago. I have my natural hair figured out and things are going well. :-) :-)

Here are the main staples of my haircare routine. I like to have a simple routine, so when I find a product I love I stick with it. Some of these products I have used for over 8 years (even before I went natural).

These are some pictures of my hair I took recently. I know I'm putting them up way later than I said I would but life has been really busy for me.

My hair isn't styled in any of them and this is mostly just some pics to keep track of the length.

Here are some photos to document what I'm doing for the summer. I will attempt to wean myself from total dependence on wearing ponytails.
