2010 was a year of trying to grow back my hair after a big haircut (from shoulder-blade length stretched to TWA) in August 2009. This was also the first year I had my hair blown out and flat-ironed, which I believe made my hair more fragile and prone to breakage, despite the fact that it was done by a pro.
