Market Street Parade & San Francisco Civic Center

LoveFest is returning to San Francisco for its 4th year! Come join in on the fun with amazing floats/sound systems and talented dj's. I'll be on the "Feel the Beat" float, representing and sponsored by ctdn.org. I was kindly asked by the Freeform Dubalicious crew to play with them and be involved with the float this year.

About California Transplant Donor Network (CTDN)
CTDN's mission is to save and improve lives through organ and tissue donation for transplantation. They concentrate our efforts on the recovery of vital organs such as lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, heart-lung and pancreas from deceased donors and placement of these organs with nearly 100,000 people who are currently waiting for a life-saving organ transplant in our country. The Transplant Network refers potential cornea and tissue donors to eye and tissue banks within its region. The Transplant Network also offers on-going support and resources for donor families.

Why this cause is important to me
This cause is very close to my heart as my dad was a liver transplant recipient in July 2003. He just celebrated his 5 years anniversary! You can read about his story on my blog @ http://tinyurl.com/shOOeysdad. My dad would not be alive today without the decision made by one selfless family to give life to another. Believe it or not, I was not an organ donor when my dad fell ill, simply because I procrastinated. My dad's life was saved because someone took 3 minutes of their time to sign up to become an organ donor. Don't delay... do it today! I mean NOW!!!!

About our Float
Our float is called "Feel The Beat", and we will have a representation of the human heart along with a booming sound system, dance platforms, and signs promoting organ donation Donate Life. We will have 5 very talented dj's on board along with our favorites friend dancing to the beats. Can YOU feel the beat? :) The parade starts at NOON at Market & 2nd, but since We are the 3rd to last float in the procession, it might take a little bit to get to starting point. We will most likely turn into Civic Center around 2pm. At Civic Center, we will be located near the corner of Grove and Polk. If you are facing Bill Graham Auditorium, we will be in front of the right side of the building. Look for the "Donate Life" banners and "Feel The Beat" sign! We will also have a table/booth for organ donation awareness and eduation with some cool schwag to give away!

Join Us!
Join us alongside the float on Market Street, or come dance on the float once we've parked at Civic Center. If you are a hooper or performer, we'd love to have you in front of our float! :)
