Vernon and Anna Mase.

Vernon was a son of Joseph Merrell and Nancy Grover Mays. Other children of this marriage were: Flora, Milton, Olivia, Richard, Jennie, Leon, Joseph (Raymond), Clyde, George (Dewey), John Calvin (my grandfather), Ruth, and Martha.

Joseph was the son of John and Estavilla Merrell Mase and John the son of Wiliam and Violet Ridge Mase (See Liberty Twnshp, Tioga County, PA)

Only Joseph and one of his brothers for some reason chose the Mays spelling, and of Joseph and Nancy's children only Vernon and one of his brothers chose to revert to Mase.
