Christmas Shop

Originally I was going to make my Christmas shop in the shop from Camp Mini Ha Ha 2009 but one of the displays we had there was in a display case like this and since I had one at home, I decided that it would house my Christmas shop.
I'm still busy making things to fill it. Between these and my stash, I suspect it will be one crowded shop!

And there's where I left it in July 2009 (first 19 pictures).

The problem with the display case is that there is an approximately 1/2" x 1/4" wooden lip at the edges of the glass and in order to have display cabinets, etc., against the glass they have to be built in which means all work needs to be done through the bottom of the top of the display case. It took me a lot of thought before I could see in my mind just how I could handle this.

It finally came together in my head in February http://stalbertmini.blogspot.ca/2014/02/the-christmas-shop.html so work began!

To see more pictures and how-tos from this project you can look on my blog from February 9,2014, to March 21, 2014. http://stalbertmini.blogspot.ca/

I wired all these ornaments on. I made the ones on the right and left outer rows. The rest were all received in our club Christmas ornament draw with the exception of the one below the snowman hanging. It was a gift from Marilyn Z. when she started minichristmas.com
