September 2009 Transitioning

Ok this is what I am doing to my hair for this month. Mostly protective styling and updos or sorts. I really like pulling my hair back with a stocking. In this way I'm able to adjust how tight it is on my head.

How do u get ur hairline so neat. I have fine 4c hair at the front and 4a/b in the middle. My hair does not lay flat no matter what I do. It has been 9 weeks since my last relaxer. I don't mind my roots and usually let it do what it wants but I am so jealous when I see the lovely waves some ladies have going on.

Ok try this. Make sure you wet/dampen your front hairline that you want to lay down. Then either use an oil or a moisturizer on top of that. Then put Ecostyler gel (my fav) or whatever gel you like on top of that. I would then suggest you use a scarf for a minimum of 10 minutes. When you take the scaef off, you should have a nice flat wavy edge going on. I acheive mine a little different in that I will sometimes dampen my hair with a liquid leave in like Infusium, or sometimes instead of dampening my hair, I just put curl activator gel on first. Then I apply the Ecostyler gel. Sometimes I use a scarf and sometimes I don't. But when I do, I get the best results. Let me know if one of these suggestions work for you.

Are you taking hair vitamins. I started half way through my transition and it helped a lot! Take those with Msm(sulfer) in them. It helps with growth and it helps to nourish your NG before it grows in!
Yes ma'am I'm taking vitamins and MSM too!!! Thanks for enquiring.
