My trip to the Dallas area was finished. After having dinner with Washington country singer Patti Hall, an old friend, I headed back home. Along the way I stopped in Uncertain, TX, Lake Caddo, LA and Waldo, AR. I played with a few of the swamp photos for some colorful fun

I spent a week in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area visiting High Schools for iHigh.com, my employer. While there, I made my way into Downtown Dallas, enjoyed a meal at El Fenix, spent time with my sister, and saw some sites in the Ft. Worth area. Also got to visit Cowboys Stadium

Visited Center High School in Kansas City and then on the way home I saw the Art Museum and then drove to Independence, Liberty, Lexington and Fayette, MO

Made a visit to St. Louis for iHigh.com. While there I had breakfast at Goody Goody's and visited a Sculpture Park

Stopped by Santa Claus, Indiana on my way to St. Louis and then Kansas City. It was fun to see this unique little town.

Sometimes we miss out on the simple pleasures - autumn leaves and Halloween decorations. All of these shots were captured on a drive home through some neighborhoods of Lexington. We step on the leaves, but do we look at them? We really miss out!!

Took a visit to Lynn's Paradise Cafe in Louisville with some fans of Antsy McClain. Had a great time. Afterward, I drove through Seneca Park and a couple of Louisville's districts and got some fun shots of the spirit of Louisville. It is NOT all Churchill Downs or Louisville Cardinals

Another visit with my friend Herry the Heron. Just happened to see Herry yesterday morning as I drove by the pond just off of Squires Rd. in Lexington. I got very close and I am thrilled I had my camera with me.

Ironically, as I showed these to my wife in the car, Steve Miller's "Fly Like an Eagle" came on the radio. I love synchronicity!!

Last night and this morning I spent some time in downtown Lexington just enjoying one of my passions...photography. this time I tried to be a little artsier than normal, even editing the photos for some fun effects. Enjoy my "Evening & Morning Downtown"

A secondary theme would be Downtown's People, Places and Things. I captured many of the homeless who reside on the benches and streets of downtown.

Went on a nice trip with my sister Sherry, her husband Brian, their daughter Savannah (my niece) and my granddaughter Autumn. Saw some great Lincoln sites, enjoyed the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green and had fun in Cave City

Had a great time at the Cincinnati Zoo today and also hit a couple "sites of interest" in Cincinnati before heading back to Lexington. I took nearly 400 photos. It was great!! This collection also includes a Futuro House - a futuristic spaceship style house, found in Covington, KY

Had to take my son Seth down to Bowling Green on Saturday, July 18. On the way down and then on the way home, we hit a few backroads. Saw some great Americana. Also visited some interesting places such as Wisdom, Bliss, Chicken Bristle, Jumbo and Miracle, KY. Unfortunately, I saw no Jumbo sign and there was also no sign of a Miracle. But the trip was nice.

On July 11 I drove from Lexington to Normal, IL to pick up my son Seth from his 3 week adventure as a Youth Counselor for Especially for Youth (EFY). He spent a week in Bloomington, IN, a week in Springfield, MO and then a week in Normal, IL. I left at 6:30 AM and drove freeway to Normal. We returned on the backroads of Illinois and Indiana and caught a few sights along the way. Nothing normal about this trip!!

I spent most of July 4 perched up on a 3rd floor balcony of the Triangle Center in downtown Lexington to photograph the July 4 parade and then later make a first attempt at fireworks photography. This is the entire set of nearly 500 shots that I took

Photos from the Zarb Brothers Street Concert on June 27, held in Bardstown. Artists included The Art of Whimsy (Nathan Emmans), Pat Kirtley, the Endless Road String Quartet, Anthony Snape, Rick Price, Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours, James Dean Hicks, Michael Kelsey and the Pauly Zarb Band. It rocked big time.

On this beautiful Father's Day, my sweetheart Julianne and took a drive along KY 1659 from Versailles to Frankfort. This is one of the bourbon Trails an it took us by Woodford Reserve and then to two old, abandoned distillieries, including the Old Taylor Distillery and the Old Crow distillery. The sweet smell of Bourbon permeated the air.

Julianne and I went to Harlan, KY to visit the Poke Sallet festival and also see Black Mountain, the highest point in Kentucky. These are some photos of the fun we had. At the festival we at Poke Sallet. We also saw Steve McGranahan, the "World's Strongest Redneck"

Julianne and I both got new cameras for our birthdays (Me a Nikon D40 and Julianne a Canon SX10IS). The weather was beautiful and we have not really had a weekend together for months, so we took a trip up to Erlanger, spent the night and then drive along the Ohio River from Erlanger to Warsaw, KY and then crossed the river and continued west to Madison, IN. We visited Big Bone Lick State Park (in Beaver Road) and saw some buffalo, went to Rabbit Hash, KY, and made our way back through Frankfort. These are a few photos--the first from my new camera!!

My daughter Amaree and her husband Aaron came to visit with their 2 boys, making this the first time that all of our children and grandchildren have been together in one place. During the visit we had barbecues, activities and a photoshoot by family friend Kasey Combs Shaw (see www.kaseymikelle.com) These are some of the photos.

After a day of filming with Nashville musician Bill Crosby (www.billcrosbymusic.com) I joined Bill and we went to Caesar's Ristorante Italiano (http://www.caesarsitaliano.com) in Nashville to watch Trailer Park Troubadours guitarist Bobby Cochran and finger-picking guitarist David Langgood perform at the restaurant. Later, Caesar Randazzo, the owner, joined Italian accordion player Enzo Cilento in singing some Italian classics. It was loads of fun. The music was wonderful, the entertainment delightful and the food was magnifico!!

While in Austin for the Austin field Trip with Antsy McClain, I got to visit with family. It was a really wonderful time.

After a visit around Austin, Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours took their fan entourage to Gruene, Texas where they played at the famous Gruene Hall. It was a blast!!

Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours spent the day recording at The Zone Recording Studios in Dripping Springs. Some of our fans joined us there.

This is an assortment of photos I have taken on trips home or trips back. Photos include such locations as Hamtramck, MI, Sobra, Ontario, Lima, OH and other places.

I took a weekend trip to Bethlehem, PA for two Trailer Park Troubadours shows. Along the way there and back I also visited the Erie Canal, the AMAZING Nicholson Bridge and some of the Finger Lakes are of New York. It was a fantastic 3 day weekend.

I drove up through Dublin, Ohio, where I saw a field of cement corn cobs, and then drove up to Ashtabula, OH, where I saw a giant rocking chair and the recently built largest covered bridge in the U.S.

I took a two day trip to Algonquin National Park in Central Ontario with 2 of the Toyota trainers from Japan (Oguri san and Takayama san). On this trip we not only visited Algonquin and saw the beautiful colors of fall, but we also visited the Screaming Heads outdoor art exhibit by Peter Camani (near Burks Falls, ON) and also took a 3 hour cruise thru the 30,000 islands of Georgian Bay from Parry Sound, ON. It was a fabulous two day trip.

On my way back to Ontario I drove through the Xenia,Ohio area and visited a number of Covered Bridges as well as some other places.

My wife Julianne and daughter Marissa and her husband Adam and baby Joselyn came up to Ontario with me over the 4th of July weekend. We visited Shakespeare, Stratford, St. Mary's, St. Thomas, Sparta, Port Burwell and Niagara Falls. On the way back I also drove along the norther shore of Lake Erie to Port Dover. Great weekend!

My daughter Amaree was getting married to Aaron Matthews in Cardston, Alberta in June 2005. My daughter Marissa (who would be married in Louisville a week later) and my two sons Seth and Solomon accompanied me on the long drive from Lexington to Great Falls and back. I worked in Woodstock from Feb 2, 2008 to Oct. 2, 2008 at the Toyota Plant which was built there. During this time I traveled much of Oxford County and also lived in the Quality Inn for nearly 5 months.

I took a Saturday trip to St. Jacobs, Heidelberg, Elora and New Hamburg, Ontario. This took me through Amish/Mennonite company, some beautiful scenery and some delicious food
